Ir Hakoidesh has been conquered by the there-but-for-the-grace-of-God crowd and their wardrobes. Can it really be that if not for a fateful decision many years ago that would have been me? Or was some parting of the ways always inevitable? Is my attraction (revulsion) to the decadent hotel scene rooted in an atavistic need to confront an unrealized potential trajectory of my life or in the opportunity for smug self-validation? Maybe it's just the food.

IMHO, (a) a parting of the ways was inevitable; (b) smug self validation (not that there's anything wrong with that).

The good news (besides the food) is that the TBFTGOG crowd is pumping serious shekel into the Israeli economy and their children are studying in Artzeinu Hadekoisha, some of whom will end up staying.

I am a Chossid from Sqvare. I do not think it is good for the kinder to be moving far away, and leaving behind their taties and mamies. This is not moshiach time yet. No person should be giving to the zionists any money or children. This I heard from the rebba, and I am not either neturai karta. Hugging Yasser is bad.

Why do you think real Jews care for the opinion of a hasid from square regarding zionism? Look, Hasidm hate Jews who aren't like you; your teachers and rebbas hate Jews that might do the slightest small thing to limit their power; and the whole lot of you hate all forms of change and progress.

Those are the pathologies you should be worrying over. Not Zionism.

Second (and third) anonymous. Let me go out on a limb here. I think the first anonymous (from Sqvare) was meant to be a joke.

if you really believe that Bush should not be re-elected, send a blank
email to notobush@gmail.com. This project (by a student) would try to
have the whole 1GB limit reached with just enough 'No to Bush' no text
emails. Your emails addresses will be kept private and nothing will be
done with them; this is a private project without any funding from
anyone whatsoever (though not partisan however :D)

PS do not send attachments.Failure to comply would result in your
email being deleted and email address blocked.

PSS: Spread the word, foward this email to everyone you know. Help rid
the world of a maverick who tramples on human rights and
internationalism (a proud selfish brat indeed)
